Q1: Can you tell us about the beginnings and history of SIEUR D'ARQUES Winery?
A1: SIEUR D'ARQUES was founded in 1531 at the St-Hilaire Abbey in Limoux, where the world’s first sparkling wine was created. This region is the birthplace of sparkling wine, predating Champagne by 100 years, and has continued its traditional winemaking methods ever since. In 1946, the cooperative that is now SIEUR D'ARQUES was established. We have maintained this tradition while focusing on quality. The microclimate and natural environment of Limoux provide ideal conditions for producing sparkling wines.
Q2: What makes SIEUR D'ARQUES competitive in the global market?
A2: SIEUR D'ARQUES is the top producer of Crémant from Limoux. When compared to Champagne, our wines offer exceptional quality at a more affordable price. Our sparkling wines consistently surpass Champagne in quality, offering wine lovers worldwide both value and excellence. We maintain this high standard while staying true to our tradition. Notably, our Grande Cuvee 1531 Brut and Grande Cuvee 1531 Brut Rosé have won gold medals at multiple international wine competitions.
Q3: What efforts is SIEUR D'ARQUES making towards sustainable wine production?
A3: We have adopted eco-friendly grape-growing practices and are committed to sustainable agriculture. The warm, dry Mediterranean climate, combined with the moist air from the Atlantic and fresh winds from the high mountains of Spain, make Limoux an ideal environment for wine production. We are continuously investing in sustainable farming, which not only enhances the quality of our wine but also helps us fulfill our environmental responsibility.

Q4: What is your export strategy, and what is your vision for the future?
A4: We hold an annual barrel-tasting auction where wine buyers and chefs from around the world participate. During this event, we sell Grand Cru-level white wines, with part of the proceeds going toward local development projects. This reflects our commitment not only to quality but also to social responsibility. Furthermore, as wine consumers in Asia become more knowledgeable, we see significant growth potential in the region. SIEUR D'ARQUES plans to continue expanding its influence in the global market.
Q5: Can you discuss your collaboration with Easy Wine(이지와인) in Korea?
A5: SIEUR D'ARQUES has experienced tremendous growth in the Korean market, and our partnership with Easy Wine has played a crucial role. Easy Wine's CEOs, Kim Seok-woo(김석우) and Kwon Byung-guk(권병국), have a deep understanding and passion for wine.

Their partnership has allowed us to provide customized services that meet Korean consumers' needs. We expect this close collaboration to continue driving growth for both of us in the future.

When enjoying our wines, I encourage you to appreciate the story behind them and savor the flavors they carry. We will continue to strive to provide the finest quality wines, ensuring that every bottle tells a story and brings joy to your experience.
